AWS Mods

Highlights

  • 8 mods released!
  • New policies or changed policy names in: aws-vpc-connect
  • We’ve renamed the service’s default regions policy from Regions [Default] to Regions to be consistent with our other regions policies. This won’t change the policy URI, just the human readable title of the policy.
  • We’ve renamed the service’s default regions policy from Regions [Default] to Regions to be consistent with our other regions policies.
  • In aws-s3: After creating an S3 bucket with the same properties as an existing one, AWS will send a successful CloudTrail event instead of returning an error that the bucket already exists. When we received such events, the real-time event handler for buckets did not handle it properly, resulting in the metadata create timestamp getting updated incorrectly for the bucket and its policy. We now handle these events better and will not update metadata create timestamps for existing buckets and their policies.
  • In aws-vpc-connect: Removed the cross-account controls for Transit Gateway. Additional details in the release notes.
  • In aws-iam: Fixes password policy properties to make the aws-cisv1 1.10 control work properly.

Azure Mods

Highlights

  • 2 mods released!
  • New policies or changed policy names in: azure-cisv1
  • In azure-cisv1: The Azure > CIS v1 > 4 Database Services > 4.08 Ensure that Azure Active Directory Admin is configured (Scored) control would incorrectly remain in a TBD state even if the Active Directory Administrator was configured on the SQL server. This is now fixed and Azure > CIS v1 > 4 Database Services > 4.08 Ensure that Azure Active Directory Admin is configured (Scored) will work as expected.
  • In azure-sql: The Azure > SQL > Server > CMDB control wasn’t getting updated correctly when an Active Directory administrator was removed from a SQL server. This issue has been fixed and now the serverAzureADAdministrator property in the server’s CMDB will be updated properly.
